Kiaga Natural AA Espresso

This coffee is the result of the hard work of small-scale farmers in the Othaya region of Nyeri, a renowned coffee-growing area in Kenya. They are part of the Othaya Coffee Farmers Cooperative, founded in 2009 and supported by the Government to address the needs of Kenyan coffee farmers. The goal was to give them more control over marketing and their own production to achieve higher net returns and tackle various challenges faced by the coffee sector related to production, quality, marketing, and adding value to coffee.

The farms associated with the cooperative are located between 1750 and 1850 meters above sea level. These are small plots where SL 28, SL 34, and Ruiru 11 varieties are primarily grown on volcanic soils.

Harvesting is done manually, selecting only ripe cherries. Once collected, they are sent to the Cooperative, where, in this case, natural processing occurs, with sun-drying.
